I absolutely love the sunrise – it signals the beginning of something brand new. And I love the verse in Scripture that promises us that God’s mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Now, I’ll be completely honest with you, I don’t actually see a lot of sunrises in my life right now as I am absolutely not a morning person! But perhaps that just makes me love them even more when I do have the opportunity.
But the beginning I am referring to today refers to the official birth of this blog, Heavenboundmom.com. If you’ve read my welcome post (here), or if you’ve seen the date on my very first post (here), or even if you saw that one about planning to get things started back up again in 2019 (here), then you know this project has been in the works for awhile! I’ve been working on things in the Dashboard for about three years, but I never hit the “Launch” button … until today!
Have you ever known God was calling you to do something, but you’ve put it off for a million little reasons … or even just one reason?
If I’m being totally honest, that is me. My number one reason? I’m afraid to fail! (And if I don’t start, I can’t fail … right?!?!)
My husband challenged me with the question, “What does failure look like?” And I honestly had no good answer. Because I’m not doing this for money, I’m not trying to be the most popular blogger out there, and I’m certainly not thinking I’m going to influence the masses.
But what if I could impact just one person for the kingdom of God?
So today and every day you show up here at the blog, or on the Facebook page, or on Instagram, you are my one! With a heart for discipleship, I want to see you, get to know you, and understand what it is you need to hear to be encouraged to live life in light of Eternity!
Regardless of what the future holds, regardless of my fears and concerns, I absolutely believe God has called me to this space. So I’m showing up … not to see what I can do, but to see what He can do! Little is much, when God is in it!
Is there something God has called you to that you’ve been putting off? Take the leap of faith and trust that when God gives you a mission to accomplish, He also provides all you need to get the job done (Exodus 4:10-11)!
Growing in grace,
Stephani
